hi guys
i want to know your thoughts on colorizing silent films. i know most people are against anny colorizing of motion picturs, but i recently bought and watched the colorized version of "night of the living dead(1968) " dvd and it is awsome! it looks like it was made in that way.
well with todays digital technologey, maybe they can do this with such classics like "phantom of the opera(1925/29)", "greed(1924)", "wings(1927)", "intolerance(1916)", "birth of a nation(1911) ", and ETC. what do you think?

Totally against it. These films were shot in black and white, so they shouldn't be colorized. It's a total insult to the people who made these films including the costume and set designers, cinematographers, and make-up people, all of whom have their work crassly degraded when a black and white movie gets colorized.

A very BAD idea imho. It's like those
moronic green protestors
who throw paint on great art works.
