editing tricks that serve two purposes my friend
most of the footage is from 1980s VCR uploads. as you may recall…tracking issues
and an overall graininess was standard issue back then. to give everything that same feel i used filters for newer and less degraded shots.
when segueing from one shot to another…sometimes editors use wipes or other special effect to add subtle nuance or to enhance the overall theme of the project. I chose glitch and tracking issues for these segues so as to enhance and homogenize the 1980s look and feel.
