The concept and idea of sexual
attraction
to a
race
is racist.
Races
do not objectively exist. It's an invisible concept, idea we use to classify people into subgroups. Concepts cannot be recipients of attraction. One cannot be attracted or unattracted to a "particular race," whatever that even means. People are attracted to
people.

I agree with this, i think that's why it always sounds creepy/stupid when someone says they aren't/are attracted to a certain race
I still don't get offended over someone saying that they have a preference for a certain race because i understand that they're going off a certain association or stereotype but it still makes me respect them a little less for overgeneralizing -

It sounds like you're already excluding a whole group of people from your circle of attraction even before you have a chance to know if you'll find them attractive or not.
You don't know if you're attracted to "coloured people" unless you already made up your mind about it and crossing "coloured people" off the list be default.
The "race" of your attractees a weird thing to keep tabs on. Out of all the people one has found attractive in their life, who knows how many were Black, blonde, blue-eyed, whatever. Who cares. You would know if you're attracted to them at that moment you see them.
A better way to say it is, "I've find that I'm typically not attracted to people with a darker skin pigment than I have [also a weird thing to keep tabs on], but we'll play it by ear and see how that goes."
You don't need to exclude whole groups like that. Use your attraction on an individual one-by-one basis.

That's a difficult question to answer, but as far as "straight out of the jungle", there has to be more than that - is it the mode of dress, their hair, the features? I can find attractive people in just about ANY race, so if one excludes and entire race as "not your type", I believe there may be some unacknowledged underlying racial prejudice.

Stuff like that is beyond your control and is more of an artistic preference than anything bad.
I can't stand Italians for instance, and they are white people.
I don't care for the looks of typical jewish people.
It's not a decision but rather a reaction.
Now, if I was hiring for a business I could easily brush that aside. I do not care what people look like if there's a task to be done and the task is the most important thing.
I just want to get it done.
However, if the task is me finding you adorable and getting sexually excited, then appearance and other factors do matter. I cannot choose my way out of them, especially over political reasons.
