This is already happening. Republicans have spent years now obsessing over the 0.6% of the U.S. population who identify as trans, including a very creepy fascination with the genitals of children. The elites will always create a boogeyman to blame for the problems they're creating themselves and the most ignorant in society will always fall for it.

The United States military hasn't won a war since 1945 and hasn't won a war without help since 1898. They aren't a serious threat to anybody.
It is the height of idiocy to declare, on the one hand, that there are major problems with policing in America and, on the other hand, that those same cops are the only ones in our society who can be trusted to have guns. Pro-gun has always been a left-wing position. The first gun control laws in the United States were in Confederate states after the civil war when lawmakers barred former slaves from owning guns. Ronald Reagan, while governor of California, signed one of the most draconian gun laws in U.S. history with the goal of disarming the Black Panthers. Sadly, mainstream Democrats have ceded this issue to the right and the majority of gun owners today are in full support of the ongoing tyranny.

The militarization of law enforcement is a threat to the safety of every American. But bullies only target those who they perceive as weaker than them, which explains why the NYPD will kill a black man for selling cigarettes but won't touch any of the scumbags on Wall Street.

You cannot compare a past event to a future one.
All the gun owners are going to have is just guns which is not enough to stop tanks and bombs from falling on them.
If you and all other gun owners want to feel superior and fool yourself, fine.
You do that.
I am good with those and every anti gun law that gets passed since every single gun a criminal uses was legal at one point.
So the less we have out there the better no matter what.
If those who don't like having their guns taken away then move to a safer location or change a lifestyle to where you don't feel like you need one.
Lock your doors.
Get a baseball bat.
Learn self defense.
Don't be a dick to others in public.
Etc.
Like I will never move to or even think of visiting the S. Side of Chicago.

Trump, compared to Obama and Biden, has been horrible on the 2nd Amendment, Obama and Biden just shouted empty platitudes. Democrats actually play this issue smart politically, just yell a bunch of **** about how they oppose guns and all this, but never have any intention of doing anything, just telling their supporters "We tried, sorry" and meanwhile wait for a Republican to get in and try and pressure him into actually doing something. They don't care about stopping the gun violence, they just want political talking points, and they've played Trump like a fiddle on it.

I'm not blaming Democrats, I'm blaming Trump and pointing out the reality of it. And it has nothing to do on if I like it or not, it's a fact. Obama and Biden didn't do a single thing about guns, Trump banned bump stocks. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant, Trump did more to attack the 2nd Amendment than both of them combined.
