It's not even about me liking it. It's a matter of just watching the movie. A movie is not a song. You can't just have it on in the background while you're doing chores or ****posting. It's a visual experience as much as it's an audio one. There's so much that goes on on the screen. Visual cues, character movements, expressions, etc.
I get not being particularly interested in a movie once you start watching it, but it makes more sense to just turn it off if you're not really paying attention and don't find it particularly engaging.

I'm not grumpy. I just don't get the logic in bothering to have a movie on that you've never seen before and not paying full attention to it. Honestly, people who do that are the bane of my existence.

Is that an explanation for why you put it on? Doesn't really make sense if it is.
You act like people cant rewatch a movie.
And they can also not put a movie on that they don't really intend to watch but still feel compelled to give their thoughts on.

You may not feel engaged with the film simply because you never gave it your full attention. I often find that when I'm also doing other things, it's hard to focus on what's going on in the movie and it never quite fulls me it. As the other poster mentioned, a movie is mostly a visual experience, not just background noise.
I think I've only seen one or two of Nolan's
Batman
movies and while they are a bit more engaging than this one, I think it's important to note that the stories are told through different lenses. This movie -
The Batman- is more of a noir-ish murder mystery, where Batman plays both the here and the detective. Nolan's films are more along the lines of a traditional superhero films.
I agree, though, that this movie is just too long.
