Joker's insurance cuts him off, and he can no longer afford his prescriptions, and his therapist cuts him off. These were keeping him stable before. Big Pharma turned Joker into a serial killer.
Also there are references to christine chubbuck's death, the first woman who kills herself live on air. Maybe Deniro will do the same.
