Don't get me wrong this is a great movie. I mean it is quite silly and shouldn't be taken too seriously but I just didn't find it overly funny I laughed like 3 times at max.

Not all comedies are made with slapstick humour. Some comedies, like this, the humour is more in the ridiculous plot, references, tropes and details. However, the scenes where they opted for slapstick humour, were more of a hit or miss - mostly miss.
Overall I found it to be very entertaining, with some very clever throwbacks to old spy movies.
The McDonald product placement, on the other hand, I could live without. -

It was OK as I expected from its previews. Its humor was OK since I laughed only a few parts (e.g., dogs). I was expecting humor like Austin Powers at least. I do like its action scenes, visual effects, and some soundtracks (bah to rap/hip-hop) but that's about it. Not worth seeing in the theat(er/re)s. I gave it a 6/10 rating on imdb.com. Oh, and they sure cussed a lot (thought it was rated PG-13, not R). And that church scene was weird and bad.

I would venture to say that you were not the only one, Mr. Somethin93. However I believe that the majority of viewers found it funny, thus the high rating. I thought it was bloody hilarious in parts, especially the colorful exploding head scene set to "Pomp and Circumstance". That one made me laugh out loud. It reminded me of the Staja scene from
"A Clockwork Orange".

I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one that just doesn't get the fuss over this overrated movie. It's full of really immature jokes and general stupidity.
It's not like there's a lack of spy comedies films either, so I don't know why it even became so popular. The anal "joke" in the uncut version pretty much sums up the unfunny playground humour that fills this turd of a movie. -

I know! It's almost like it is a spoof of all of the James Bond movies with their double-entendre jokes and stupid stuff that goes on.

Because most of them are silly to the point of "Bruce Lee" or "Mel Brooks" movies.

It fit perfectly in the context of the movie. No one questions the beautiful women in James Bond movies who give it up for him even though they just met a day or so before. Bond is a "proper British gentlemen" so everyone assumes he'd "make love" to the women in a traditional manner. Eggsy is barely above a street-thug. Of course something like that would appeal to him.
For the record, I didn't think the movie was great. I'm just amazed at how many people don't get this is a spoof and get so uptight over the anal sex joke.
