Is it just me that is disappointed in how this show displays celestial places. The only thing ive liked is the wings of the angelswhich dont exist anymorei mean the way they made the devils face look makes laugh everytime at how ridiculous it looks. Also the way they made hell look all foggy and mountain like.

The way Hell looks reminds me a lot of how it looked in Doom 64. So I have zero problems with that. I half expect a cyberdemon to pop up any moment.

I agree with you on that part, however throughout the show we constantly listen to lucifer talk about "you have no idea the things ive done to people in hell" or maze when all she talks about is torturinf people. Im hoping later down the road this show will show that kinda stuff.

I don't think it even can, since this isn't HBO.

Interestingly it would appear from the conversations between Mum and Maze that Mum's time in Hell involved a lot more of the old fashioned form of Hellish punishment.

I think she failed because Mom never believed she belonged there. Not for whatever reason God had for sending her there. If there's no guilt, then the punishment won't work completely, not enough to break the person being tortured. That's sort of the point of this Hell, the person has to believe they deserve it.
"Man is born into trouble as sparks fly upward." Lucifer

Well, if they are following along the lines of "dante's inferno", then there are 9 circles of hell. each one worse than they other. and i noticed that each time we have seen hell so far, the corridor he is in appears to be circular.
This would explain the torture by maze and the nasty stuff lucifer refers to doing.
