Like that fanip of the Dark Knight sodomizing the Man of Steel, this pretty much nails it.

Superman wasn't "dark" in MoS. He was a soul who needed to find his way, albeit the narrative was told in a somewhat choppy way (with the flashbacks). It did not have the explicit focus on fear and darkness as Batman Begins did (one of the best comic book movies of all time, IMO).
Sure, his suit was a little darker, but the article is focusing too much on the color.
Even the first Captain America film had the suit's color washed out to fit the era, and it was brightened for Avengers. Perhaps Supes' suit will get a slightly brighter tone to contrast better with Batman in BvS.

Hey Donnie_Darkrr, what's it like being right all the time? Did you see what happening over on the BvS board?

Yeah, totally agree DC's cinematic universe is going to suck.

That's really a big problem. It's not just that 'Man of Steel' is a bad movie; it's that it demonstrates that DC's entire cinematic universe is on a hiding to nothing, maybe for years to come.

Four? Take TDK out of the modern mix and every other movie has been meh to flat out crap. EVERY single damn one that has its roots in a DC comic.

The question must become: Did nolan get lucky with TDK and was it a fluke?

Except Batman Begins was a great movie as well. Better than anything Marvel has made.

Look, we already have enough harrowing beep in our lives. America is one of the most depressed nations on the planet. And DC Comics, we don't need you invoking 9/11 in a fcking Superman film. We need a dose of optimism, and you need to stop getting your asses handed to you by a raccoon nobody knew the name of three months ago.

Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the S now stands for Sidekick

Yup. DC is different from MARVEL. DC shouldn't even try to make a movie universe, won't work.
This article is more or less on target.
Disney/MARVEL sat down and came up with a plan.
WB/DC make it up as they go along. This really should be obvious to everybody by now.
Oh well when MoS 2 bombs, game over and done.
Sad thing is DC is really easy. WB just doesn't get it as MoS proved.

DC is handicapped by the WB. They could never do what Marvel does because big brother is too dumb.
