I don't really get the people that are complaining about dark Superman movie while they describe themselves as Superman fans. I'm not a Superman fanatic. I respect him as a character and icon. But I was reading comics with him my whole life, and I can't really understand these complaints about the amount of darkness and violence in Man of Steel. Have you ever read a Superman comic that came after the Crisis? His comics always had dark themes and mature content. Even the older one. The New Krypton event, which is one of my favorite Superman stories, is a political thriller that has clever metaphorical message about emigration and governmental control. Man of Steel didn't invented the dark Superman. It was already done in comics. Also, people are pissed that Superman is too violent, because he beats the sht out of Zod after he threatens his mother? Didn't he beat the sht out of Brainiack in in prison after pa Kent died because of him?

DC kind of took the Nolan template and run with it with no other well-thought plan.

These facts should be forever cemented to show future generations that we weren't all morons in this era handing over good money to bad movies like this one.
