Was thinking the same thing. I'm sure it is a fine actor with an excellent character in some show I never watched, but my vote goes to KC
Here are some examples of Nina's acting. TBH, I was so mesmerized by Damon's "CW smolder" that I found it hard to focus on Nina Dobrev's acting!
Joking aside, I really don't see how Nina D.'s acting is that much better in comparison to the acting chops of other capable CW actresses, such as Katie Cassidy or Willa Holland. -

How come we are not comparing Nina with Emily? That will be so easy!
I can't decide. Nina is good with playing different characters so is Katie. We've seen both playing the bad and good girl. Both good with crying and emotional scenes. Damn it I have no clue! -

No clue, but Dobrev is more my type.
You're suffering from delusions of adequacy.

Yeah I agree Nina is more touchy touchy during romantic scenes, she has more passion. Katie is a little stiff and gentle, like she is afraid to kiss guys on screen. I just wish that Arrow and Laurel scenes had more passion just like Damon and Elena's scenes. These two are on fire lol

Actually, it's a Bulgarian name! Here are some nice clips where Nina shows her Bulgarian pride:
TVD actually has a multi-cultural cast (not that strange, since the US/Canada are immigrant countries). Paul Wesley (ne Pawe Wasilewski) comes from a Polish family:
I can fully understand why some actors with names that are difficult to pronounce change their names to something more English-sounding (as Paul Wesley obviously did). On the other hand, I think it's a sign of social progress that people in the entertainment industry, whether they're producers/directors/screen writers etc. or actors, no longer have to hide their Jewish/Eastern European/Southern European etc. background by adopting typical WASP screen names. -

Eh, not so much if you have a passing knowledge of either language. Even if she uses the male version of her surname.
You're suffering from delusions of adequacy.
