There is more likely than not to be a Suicide Squad sequel, that film has made too much money for them to just give up on it entirely. When a sequel does happen they will hopefully learn from the mistakes of the previous film. It will most likely be darker than the first (yes like ESB) but if they're going to make it dark they should go all out. They should make as dark as The Wire's Middle Ground, Breaking Bad's Ozymandias, Games Of Thrones' The Rains of Castamere, or The Walking Dead's The Day Will Come When You Won't Be. They can still make a fun comic book but they should also take risks and go to places they no comic book film or film has gone before.

Yes! Would love an improved sequel. That's possible - remember the Wolverine Origins version of deadpool?
Maybe have Croc die at the end for " a no one is safe vibe". Mr Eko must be getting sick of that makeup by now
Have a scene where Harley saves Deadshots life and Floyd returns the favour .. by attempting to kill the Joker so Harl can have a better chance at getting her life back
Black manta, Deathstroke and (???) are bought in from the Batfleck, Aquaman, and Flash films. They are NOT as nice as the original team and betray them
Team could go against HIVE, Kobra or League of Assassins.. -

I was thinking something more along of lines Deadshot killing Rick Flag to give a " no one is safe" vibe. Or maybe one of the members of the Squad betray Amanda Waller and kills someone she care about.
