I can understand your interpretation in a general kind of way, but I'm having trouble with Mom in the context of biblical mythology as well as the context of this story. When a lot of us first heard about Lucifer having a mother, we were concerned because she just doesn't work within the known canon. Basically, the question is, where did she come from? In the beginning, there was nothing but God and the void. In the comic, God created Michael and Lucifer first, who together created all matter and form. So that means God's wife should have come after them. When the writers said she was God's wife and that she came
    before
Lucifer and Michael, that implies that somehow she's a Goddess on par with God. But how could there be another God at all? God was supposed to be the
    only
entity in existence according to both the Bible and the comic. Did He somehow create another God before everything and everyone else? Can one God create another God??? I mean it's just way out there and it's difficult to figure out how her existence is even possible. If she had come later it could make sense, but not when she was there at the beginning of time & all existence. I guess it's just a new version of Genesis and they're not interested in explaining it.

My dilemma with this concept is a bit different but pretty basic, why would two celestial beings' offspring have human/angel form? Wouldn't they be celestial beings as well?

I know! Another excellent question. I've wondered this too. The better explanation of angels is that God created them because He wanted to, not that they were a byproduct of something else. Trying to say that they came out of the "big bang" is really kind of crazy. I guess their "big bang" was responsible for birthing everything, then. Not just angels but matter, energy, form, time, the universe. THEN, somehow, God decided to go out to the garage and tinker with humanity. Okay.
To be honest, this is really annoying me. It's the one place where I'm really not happy with the writers' explanation for the new mythology they've introduced. I don't like it when something is introduced that's completely illogical and they don't even attempt to explain it. And I think these writers are so much better than this. It's like they didn't think it through. I don't know why they made such a huge error in logic, one that will forever contribute to continuity problems, imo.
I'd been hoping that they were going to come out at some point and make it clear that Lucifer's explanation to Linda was just a metaphor, and they'd tell us how this whole "mom/dad/angel" family could have actually existed in a way that fits into any of the existing biblical or comic canon. But I'm giving up on that happening. I don't see how it can be explained at this point.

NOTE: I in no way think this is what the writers have in mind.
I have a quantum physics analogy; matter and antimatter spontaneously appear and annihilate each other at a quantum level, but for some unknown reason there is more matter than antimatter. Perhaps God and Mum spontaneously generated as part of the same event, but God was more powerful.

Yeah, I wish they would have something, anything really, like this in mind.
One of the things that made the comic so great was it addressed so many of these kinds of monumental existential questions. Not in great detail, but it always felt well thought out. And when there was a question with no answer, that was at least addressed, as when God says, "Even I was created". The show's origin stories of God, Mom and the angels are not being explained well at all. Which is a disappointment amongst the many great things that do make up this show.
But I know I'm not alone. A lot of complaining about it on Reddit along with other places. I really don't mind them making changes, etc. Just be smart about the mythology you create, be consistent, and stick to it once you've gone there. Please. Is it too much to ask?

So far she looks like manipulating Amenadiel to embrace the fall and hate God. Also Uriel thinks that she looking to get in God good side then later trow a blade to the back and I don't convince in the act that she is going to give herself to Uriel is more a strategy to manipulate Luicfer. Maybe we don't see this season but they eventually going to touch the mom topic later.
