Delorb you've done a brilliant job of taking on the idiot brigade. I realize it's not easy because they don't care how ignorant they have to portray themselves to make a ridiculous point. These 2 scenes being a prime example.
We all know that Joe thinks of Barry as his son and that Barry views Joe as a father. They have formed that kind of closeness and many people who are not related share that kind of closeness. His viewing Joe as a father figure and Joe viewing him as a son does not change that Barry NEVER saw Iris as a sister and she never saw him as a brother. I call my best friends mother momShe is NOT my mother and we are both aware of it and I don't call my best friend sister. There is no real confusion about this phenomenon, one has only to be willing to appear a fool to try to confuse it. -
