Partly because after season one it had been discussed that going back and changing events like that could do damage Unseen damage And flash himself told himself not to do it Plus they knew the legends we're out there trying to do some dangerous time travel stuff All in all by the time he did it they all knew him going back to save his mom was a no go

Because at this point everyone should know by now that going back in time to change the past has consequences you can't predict i.e. Flashpoint. Something that multiple characters have already lectured Barry on this season.
Not to mention it would be hypocritical to call out Barry for altering the past the way he saw fit, only to build a time machine so Cisco could alter the past for his own reasons.

The reason why he did it is because he lost his dad and he couldn't handle not having a parent so it got to him so much that he decided to go back. Oliver is right that he would do that in his position, the way I think about it is that (like Jay said) they have these extraordinary powers but at the end of the day they are still human and a lot of us don't like it when we can't do something if that makes sense lol.

I'm just confused that Cisco didn't put this together before
I meanBarry already mentioned that he changed things when he came backThey already had this reconciliation.
I thought it was known that Barry messed everything up and altered everyone's livesThen 3 episodes laterit's news again.
