    When The Flash was being thrown around at about the 2 and a half minute markhe landed on a large number 4 within a circle. I'm assuming that this is a reference to the fantastic four.

        They do that sometimes.
        Spider-Man 2 name dropped Superman.
        Arrow just recently adapted (poorly) a Marvel character on accident because they're stupid though, not because of a reference.

            Scimitar, the guy Tobias hired in Diggle's first episode back on the team. Wendy Mericle said in a behind the scenes that he's named Scimitar, a big guy from the comics. There is no Scimitar in DC and the only one in Marvel is a mecenary who might also be in the upcoming Iron Fist series.

                I noticed that too and thought the same thing.
                No point trying to show mercy to the stupid, they wouldn't know what to do with it anyway
