The grenade scene just takes away from his surprise return at the end. Simply have him "argue" with Harley, toss her out then maybe show the chopper blow up, or just fly off. The grenade feels excessive, but maybe helps make Harley seem more independent.

BUT my theory is since the third act was rewritten and re shot maybe the context if the grenade scene was completely different you know what I mean?

It's possible, I'm just going off of the SDCC and Queen trailer both were pre-reshoots.
It has been said that they wanted Steppenwolf and parademons in the film originally. While Steppenwolf would have been a terrible choice (I meanno) but maybe making enchantress try and open a portal to apokalypse with parademons appearing as the squad got closer would have been cool. WB should have just caved and done a Blade Runner, releasing all cuts in a large package but charging like 30 or 40 dollars, fans would have flocked and WB would have reaped in dat money son.

I didnt read about that onetbh I know nothing about Darkseid or Steppen or demons yet
But I would very much prefer SS movie to NOT be dealing with worlds end

Some kind of heist movie would be great
I dont knowI think Enchantresss motives were understandableonly problem was its been done so many times
I get it shes and ancient godshe loaths human kind she wants to rule us so she wants to control the worldbut how more cliche can you getbut she looked fvcking cool though!!!
She would be a great sidekick to some villain maybe?
I kinda thought Joker stole something and SS are out to get it back or smh:D
Still its very exciting to see this footage of Leto being lunatic and he looks pretty scary

I understand that. Personally while much would have preferred a smaller scale villain or story, but it would have been interesting to have this tie in more directly with JL.
For example we scrap the Incubus brother (over powered and looked terrible allowing them to redirect their budget elsewhere) and just have enchantress opening the portal, with her minions as the first round of baddies, then parademons coming in for the second and final battle, and maybe we'd get a glimpse at Steppenwolf. Just very minor changes to their plot.

I got interesting pitch
SS movie would be series od chapters. Every chapter would be about a certain member.
1.Deadshot
2.Harley
etc
Hell even Waller we should know why shes the way she is its a shame she has no backstory because Viola Davis played her SO AMAZINGLY!
And in between, after every chapter wed see the member the previous chapter was about "recruited" and prepped for the big missionending on a briefing
I WOULD LOVE THAAAAT
OR to be perfectly honest I would leave the whole Suicide Squad and made Mad Love movie cause Harley and Joker was my reason why I was excited for the movie so:D
