Can anyone identify the burgundy car parked on the corner when Capt. Barnes leaves the informant in the trunk of his own car to pursue Dr. Max Simon, at about half-way through the episode? That is one sweet ride; I'd really like to know what it is.
Thanks in advance, for anyone who can tell me.

Argh, I hate you for pointing that out! It looks so damn familiar, unfortunately my love for cars is not matched by my memory for details. I checked IMCDB but they gave up after the tenth episode of season 1, so no help there.

I googled images of the Buick Riviera, and it yes, is similar; but the trunk comes to a much finer "point" for lack of a better term (I'm no car afficionado - I just know what I like when I see it), so maybe it's some other version.
          Thanks again for responding

Kind of a similar body shape but the front end is all wrong. I think it's a custom job, because I'm not aware of any cars that came with lake pipes from the factory. I'm no expert though.

According to the good folks at Jalopnik, it's a Lincoln-based Stutz Bearcat
