Change the title to "Superman & Supergirl"

Or "Supergirl and Superman". Just sometbing to get bis name in the title to grt this show to have legs to go a decent nunber of seasons. Notbing wrong with rebranding to grow the demographic. Ant-Man sequek is doing it witb "Ant-Man & the Wasp". Use the marketing options you have witht the rights you already have access to.

It might have been better to have a separate Superman tv show starring whatever that actor they picked for Superman and sometimes have them do "crossovers" kind of like the Bionic Man and Bionic Woman shows of the 1970s?

Not going to happen.
DC and Warner Brothers apparently don't want a Superman TV show right now and seem to have only agreed to a two episode appearance for the character.
So it would be ridiculous to change the name if he's only going to be seen for two episodes.

I doubt the contract allows for that. Fox executives aren't stupid. Why would they pay to use characters and let the rights holders sell or give them to someone else as well.
