1- Wonder Woman was well received by the audience even against batman and superman
2-Patty Jenkins is an amazing director
3-Gadot may not be the WW of the fanboy's dream but she did a good job in the movies
4-The Doomsday fight
5-The first Trailer
6-First female superhero of this new era
7-critics enjoyed and audiences rejoiced
To be honest, it's the only big superhero from DC without background to be judged. There are no other WW movies.
One of the reasons marvel came this far was their passion for low tier characters like iron man, thor, hawkeye, black widow etc
The best way to change de DC Universe is making him fresh and different. Wonder Woman should be the Iron man of the dceu and not superman or batman that need less exposure for a while. WW would be judged in the scope of the first try and critics wouldn't be so hard on the film.
How can WB expect to surpass the great shadow that TDK still is for any super hero movie? If marvel went the Nolan route they would accomplish nothing but a bunch of criticism. DC can fight what they created or even replicate that special achievement on film. -

From the trailer I got a different vibe than BvS or SS. It seems like the movie could connect with a wider audience. I predict a lot of woman going to see this film. See: Chris Pine
While I don't understand your comparison to Iron Man. I do see a Capitan America vibe. She is kinda the female equivalent in the DC universe. -

I heard Grace Randolph mention Chris Pine had good favorables with the female audience. Is this true ???
I actually do hope they make a comic book movie that women can enjoy intentionally. I also believe Warner Bros saw something in the strong female charcaters from Suicide Squad.
Always remember Hollywood is run by 3 things : Greed, Fear, and Stupidity -

I get Warner Brothers wanting to play catch-up with Marvel but in hindsight they really should have played the long game and done it far more slowly.
What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.
