That, and I doubt the remote she had was the ONLY way to detonate the bombs. Waller's associate (the guy played by David Harbour) probably had a backup to kill them all back at HQ too.
    That's a pretty cheap excuse
The bomb was deactivated, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to fly off with Joker in the chopper.
If there was any kind of "backup plan" that whole chopper escape should have triggered it, it didn't trigger anything.
Harley also ain't the smartest of the bunch, she's highly emotional, with Joker gone she probably wouldn't even have cared about her head blowing up. Heck it would have been far more likely that she would take her anger out on Flag or Weller for killing Joker.
Gets worse with the whole bar-scene, where Deadshot makes his big "demotivational speech" of "nearly making it" (making what?!) and when Rick Flag smashes the bomb-remote she's the
    only one
checking her neck, even tho she's the one who has the
    least reason
    to do so.
It's stuff like that which makes the movie feel all over the place, it's more like a random collection of comedy/action sketches with no internal logic or timeline, than an actual movie with a story that progresses.

Um the bomb was remote, not proximity based.

But neither of them did, the Enchantress did.

I never said anything about "proximity triggers", I'm talking about the back-up plan that supposedly was in place, because there wasn't any. The bomb was deactivated for good, as evident by Flag trying to blow it when Harly goes for the chopper and nothing happens.
That's why he had to convince Deadshot to shoot Harley, he was out of options. If he actually had a back-up plan then there would have been no need to convince Deadshot to shoot her.
But neither of them did, the Enchantress did.
The Enchantress had nothing to do with any of that. Jokers chopper gets shot down by the
        backup chopper
, then it picks up Waller, and
        only
her without even giving a reason why it can't take any more of them along.
        Then
        Enchantress brother takes down
        Waller's chopper
        .
But Joker got downed by a rocket shot from the backup chopper, on Wallers order.

          Ah yes, I remember now.
          Sorry.

The entire story is a complete mess. So there is no way it could have ended that would have surprised me.

Waller could order the others to kill her and she had no reason to live anyway. Her "puddin" died, but then came the twist.
A main reason for being on the comic Squad is also that it gives her carte blanche to go on murder sprees. This weeks Squad Rebirth No. 04 covers this very topic too, as she also got an "out" to run off without repercussions.

                  Some spoilers ahead.
I'm pretty sure the necklace strap thing she was wearing blocked the ability to detonate the explosive. She seemed particularly happy to take it out of the bag of belongings she was given. I presume the Joker had it modified or just planted there in general. She also really did not seem to give a beep when it was time to make a run to Joker in the chopper even though if the necklace isn't stopping the detonation - she is gonna get her head blown off. And it just so happens that the bomb could not detonate. It was all part of the escape plan.
I noted that only after she believed the Joker to be dead did she take it off. But I don't see why else they would show her specifically removing the necklace in the way that she did and at that point in the film. I just took her removal of it as her saying she doesn't really give a beep if she gets her head blown off any more. At the time of watching it this was my theory at least.

If you looked at Waller's screen it appears that Harley's bomb was reactivated. And with the Joker "dead" she had nothing to look forward to
I'll just stand over here being happy

Aside from the Espresso machine logic, which makes perfect sense to me, no point in fan based retcon for an obvious plothole. I just saw it first time and there's a few other obvious plotholes:
There's not a terrorist attack until she unleashes enchantress or whatever her unimaginative name is (i know, snyder is limited by the comic. Not personally a Zack Snyder fan, but this one was entertaining to watch.)
Also, what kind of supervillain leaves a sword at their feet and asks someone to kneel? Someone who think's Pete's Evil Overlord list is a how to?
I'm sure I'd catch more. weakest moment? The un-Joker's completely never saying or doing anything funny or entertaining. Best line? Will Smith "You know, white people it up." High points? non stop action and Harley Quinn (Harlequin) owning the entire movie.
ps. good point on the detonation range.
Minus HQ and Will Smith, yeah, they got nuttin', but as it was, it was entertaining.

Let's see. Highly trained covert ops soldiers. One Margot Robbie playing a drunk college girl. Yeah, no contest there.
