You think Mangold is gonna bother explaining how Wolverine got his claws back that should have been indestructible in the first place, or is he gonna follow Bryan Singers example of not making a big deal out of continuity?

That's the fan explanation from what I know. And a poor one at that.

^^This. Wolverine is shown in Weapon X during the 1980s in Apocalypse, so he would have his claws in Logan no matter what happened in The Wolverine.

Yea, I wish "The Wolverine" never happened! Took 2 hours out of my life!
DOFP did happen though, and since Singer didn't bother explaining it, its only fair Mangold should take responsibility for his mess.

The Wolverine, Wolverine Origins, and X1 to X3 all got overwritten - that's probably what that poster means by it never happened. There's nothing for Logan to explain since the last time we saw "this Wolverine" was in Apocalypse where he was bonded with metal - he never lost it in this timeline.
I never saved anything for the swim back.

I'm also wonder about the fact that he appears to have both admantium claws and bone claws at different points in the trailer. Wonder what's up with that.
