The writing is just getting incredibly weak, to include:

• All the speedsters; 8-9 per another thread. That's just derivative.
• The time travel plots and twists. These just create inconsistencies and allow 'throw it against the wall and see what sticks' plots. Not sure what purpose "flashpoint" serves. None of these people knew things were "different" until Barry told them they were. So why are they so interested in getting things back to a past they never experienced
• Evil twins: Zoom, Reverse Flash, Rival, etc. A sign of "jumping the shark".
• The liberal/gaay angles. Muted as they are, they're unnecessary. Lt. Sighn seems to appear just long enough to let everyone know he's gaay.
• Barry and his 'sister' Iris. Eww.
