So, with all the money in the stash house lock up, why was Cottonmouth so worried about 1 mil? It seemed as if losing that mil was gonna break his operation but apparently he has bags and bags of millions.

I understand he would seek vengeance, but as far as avoiding an issue with the politician, he could have just paid her back. But why even need to borrow from her to begin with if has that stashbut yea, I guess it could be promised out.

There is an episode at the end where his cousin explains he didn't need her money, he just wanted her to be fully part of it. The money was a way to make her a criminal like him.

He was actively trying to lure her into the same criminal activity he was involved in.

I assume the money in the bags is already designated for something, it's not his personal profit.

explained how? go ahead and use spoiler tags. he had millions already stashed with mariah. why did he need her to embezzle funds to lend her for his gun deal? he didn't. this is actually a plot hole.
worse plot hole: mariah not laundering at least a significant portion of this money by now, re-depositing the funds she did receive immediately, so that she could accomplish her political and community goals.

It's not a plot hole. It's explained that his intention was to make her part of his criminal organization. He wanted her to be as dirty as he was because he blamed her for being made to kill Uncle Pete, which he feels ruined the good life he could have had.

She's not a business person. She didn't own any businesses through which she could launder the money.

yeah no. maybe for the other funds, but for the money cottonmouth borrowed from her - please try harder. mariah's not an idiot - she wouldn't have 'withdrawn' the sum she had if she didn't have a good way to 'put it back' and she had time to do that and again, not stupid, and not one to wait on something of such import.
