- Jessica Jones
- DD S1
- LC
- DD S2
The action in Daredevil is the best of the series, but JJ has the best dialogue (snappy banter!), characters and acting BY FAR.
Trish and Jessica were incredible, layered characters, Malcolm was a memorable and a non-stereotypical/unpredictable sidekick and I enjoyed Luke way more on JJ than I have so far on his own show. Killgrave was just incredible, one of my favorite villains ever - made a whiny piss-baby such a loose canon that it was chilling. David Tennant was seriously Emmy-worthy and Krysten Ritter has the best facial expressions and sarcastic line readings in the business. I loved the metaphor of personal agency and regaining control over your life - I've never seen this done in a comic show before.
Daredevil is good fun, but it can get a bit dreary and depressing at times. At many points I've felt like smacking Matt in the face, because he can get really operatic in his pity. Karen is a black hole of charisma, which prevents the series from being as good as it can be, bc she's in it so much. Foggy is great half the time and annoying the other half, so he ends up canceling out his own value. I would 100% prefer Elektra or Clarie to stick around as Matt's love interest, particularly if it meant Karen would be killed off. The action is what makes the show for me - it's so well choreographed A+. Also, Wilson Fisk and Vanessa are very unique villains.
Luke Cage: so far I'm loving the characters, dialogue, the music and the acting, but the pace is really putting me to bed. Also, the stakes of the plot don't feel very urgent to me in general, but that could change?

Daredevil Season 2
Daredevil Season 1
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
But all of them are really good.
Daredevil is a blind ninja taking down other ninjas, that's hard to beat. Also I like the vigilante aspect of the show.
Jessica Jones really surprised me. I had pretty low expectations for that show but it was really awesome. Without Killgrave I would put it beneath LC though.
What I liked about Luke Cage is that it's feeling is totally different to the other shows. It's not super dark and even though Luke had a difficult past, he's actually a fun character.
Also I liked that this time around, instead of the heroes, the villains are kinda screwed and a big part of the show is about them trying to find a way to deal with a man who is "bullet proof".
I especially remember a scene during the first couple of episodes, where Luke crashes a weapon deal and all he's doing is to remove the hood and then he tells them "Do I even have to say it"? The bad guys recognize him, know they are screwed and just escape with only the dealer staying behind making a stupid face. Then Luke destroys all their guns. The reaction from the bosses is hilarious too.
All in all the netflix shows haven't disappointed at all, I'm already hyped for Iron Fist and Defenders. -

Shows:
'Daredevil'
"Luke Cage'
'Jessica Jones'
Seasons:
S2 'DD'
S1 'LC'
S1 'DD'
S1 'JJ'
There's a big gap between all the rest and 'JJ'. The season started great but it ran out of gas IMO.

my goodness this is junk.. it just keeps getting worse and worse.. and almost no one in it can act. (I am up to ep 9)
Gone from a 6/10 to a 5, and now a 4 maximum I think.
It's like I have to watch it to keep up to date with the netflix MCU and characters that appear in all the shows, but I really don't want to.
8.8 for this drivel? I am really genuinely surprised at the love.
