That would have been so cool to bring in DD/Matt for the last bit as Luke's lawyer, since he hasn't been tied into Luke yet. In the comics, didn't Matt defend Cage early on?

We are getting a Defenders series. Getting Daredevil in this series would kind of defeat the point of having solo series.

Yeah, in the ninth year of MCU movies. This is the second year of the Netflix MCU.

Wasn't. Black Widow in Iron Man 2? And The Punisher in DD2? Also, each of these seasons is 13 hours long. Each season is way more than enough time for character development for both the hero and the villain. I don't think it would be so overcrowded if they started to bleed into each other a little bit.
Not to mention that we will most likely be getting The Defenders beige Luke's second season anyway.

Like having Luke in Jessica Jones, yea. I realize they are teaming up, that's why it would be nice to introduce them to each other like they connected the characters in the MCU with Samuel.

Yea man I must have completely missed that. I didn't say there was nothing in common, I said it would have been a good opportunity to introduce Matt and Luke, as I believe it also mirrors a comic storyline.

I keep seeing people say Matt should be the lawyer.
I thought that Matt wasn't practicing by the ending of Daredevil Season 2?
Wouldn't Foggy or Jeri make more sense?

Either way, but he could do it as a favor to Claire, or Foggy would be acceptable.
