Oh god I so agree. That scene with Superman pulling the ship stranded in ice was gobsmackingly beautiful. I was just in awe of that scene and can't believe everyone isn't as impressed, but then some people don't have much of a soul. It was a very thoughtfully filmed masterpiece. Just spectacular. Snyder hasn't received nearly enough credit for that. I think that's shameful.

Let's see some of your last few threads you made:
I loved this film. NOT in denial.

          You fanboys are utterly obnoxious.
You don't get to tell people if they truly like something or not and if you think people shouldn't like something because there are flaws then I doubt you like anything at all, but please don't BS us by announcing you have some higher standard or that you are pure like the driven Fing snow. I loved this film for reasons I don't have to justify and it is not as flawed as some of you idiots make out.
I say idiots because it boggles the mind how many people just don't get what they saw,
but plenty of us did just fine. I think the real flaw is in your rationalising not us liking this film.
So bugger off and stop posting threads telling people they are in denial. I'm probably twice your age, three times your intellect and have been seeing films for much longer and have a wider film experience than pretty much anyone on this entire forum.
Insults people who have legit gripes with the movie, insults people's intelligence by claiming they don't get a movie, and then claiming that you're twice the age of most of us here, three times the intelligence, and claim you've some kind of expert in filmmaking.
Every thread is b1tching and moaning.

Guys give it a rest. I'd like to come here without being bored to death by constant threads from higher than thou people passing judgements and arguing the toss over absolutely nothing, but trivial rubbish. It would be so nice to come here and just see positive threads and calm conversations. I mean every thread becomes toxic. I sure hope HC never comes on here and sees all this. How embarrassing.
Just take a step back and gain some perspective. It's like fing high-school in here. It's bad enough with putting up with obnoxious fanboys on BvS and JL forums. Can I go nowhere to find a friendly place to discuss the topics at hand?
Completely bitching and moaning about people bitching and moaning.
So, by your claims, you're between 40 and 60 years old if that's so, you acting like an infant.
So let me tell you this Mrs. Liar You're not smarter than most of us, actually you've proven time and again that you're down right stupid, and so far your claims about being some movie expert are laughable.
The one with no soul here is you.
Grow up lady. Stop acting like a high schooler.

That's a fantastic, grand shot done just for a throwaway, a big sign of how much effort was put into this film. But look at the smaller things too. Just look at how amazingly shot the simple act of Lois going into her locker to retrieve something is. The camera is actually set inside the locker for that brief moment, giving us a really creative angle on the action, making something that could be boring look fascinating instead.
Look at the beautiful way the green of the kryptonite casts light in every scene it's in. Look at that incredible footage of Martha's pearls falling down like raindrops in a gorgeous pattern (and the barely noticeable throwaway of a pearl falling in the bat pit with young Bruce, to show us it's a dream). Look at the awesome changing of lighting to black and red when Batman enters Luthor's cell. Look at the ragged nature of Wayne manor, to symbolize Batman's moral decay. Look at the gritty, grungy nature of all those Gotham building interiors. Look at the stark, dusty landscape in Batman's post-apocalyptic dream. There has never been a movie quite like this where every frame can easily be taken out and framed in a picture and just look beautiful and fascinating.

              A beautiful movie with a $h!tty story doesn't make a good movie.
Seriously, I know movies that are much better designed, colored, and shot with a much better story than BvS, and some of them are even movies I don't like.

Not the point of this thread at all. But I think the plot and dialogue in BVS is terrific, far superior to the cheesy, underdeveloped plot in stuff like Civil War, full of stuff that doesn't make sense, like how did Cap rescue his friends from the unbreakable prison at the end? BVS is one of the best, smartest, deepest superhero movies ever made.

Really? Because once again, a pretty movie doesn't make it a good movie.
But I think the plot and dialogue in BVS is terrific,
You like badly written films. Got it.

I never once mentioned any Marvel movie, but you IMMEDIATELY made it about Marvel. Odd that, no not really. So I'm going to completely ignore your rant because it's not relevant to the conversation.
There are still better looking movies out there who's stories are ten million times better than BvS. No, this isn't one of the most poetically beautiful looking and sounding films ever made.
                  Tree of Life
is much better looking, even with the unconventional shots that Terrence Malick chose in a lot of the scenes.
As for best sounding movie ever, no. Zimmer's scores for the Batman and Superman movies IMO suck donkey balls. The music for Interstellar, while extremely loud, and don't get me started on the issues with that movie, was very good.
But then, you just want to dump on Marvel and praise Snyder

I like Interstellar too for many of the same reasons I like BVS, but the BVS score is superior to its. Nolan also has very little idea how to create visual beauty, an area where Snyder is a genius on a new level we have rarely seen in film. He can make even ugly, dirty, grimy settings look spectacularly good on film.

Not saying he's a bad filmmaker, but his visual style is not his strong point. Obviously Inception had some cool FX shots, which Marvel is now shamelessly ripping off for Dr. Strange.
I have trouble recalling many memorable images from his Batman films, other than some of the spectacle in things like the stadium explosion in DKR. DKR was noticeably better in its visuals and action scenes than the previous two.

Thankfully I already have most of the haters on ignore so I can enjoy this thread. I agree completely with the consensus about how beautiful this film is. From beginning to end there are so many great shots that look like a canvas. The ones that stand out for me are Superman regenerating in Space And Lois holding him after he died.
A part from that I feel the Superman saving people montage intertwined with the commentary on him was so beautifully done and expressed perfectly the divide about Superman.
Zack just does not get credit for so much he did right in this film. I saw so much growth from him as a director and story teller.
