That is a good list of names but the only name on that list that stands out to me as being a great Dan Ketch is Paul Walker. I had thought of him a few years back if they ran their course with Johnny Blaze and Cage playing the role and they had to go by the comic where the curse is Dan's to live with and control. Unfortunately due to Sony cutting the budget back in half it produced a supremely subpar sequel to what was really a great first movie installment I have seen multiple times. Since I am huge fan of the character and comic I could only hope that cutting the budget back wouldn't hurt the movie. Unfortunately it did bigtime and the only route I can see to help this potentialy budding movie character franchise out of this mess is for those Sony fatcats to pore out some of that fat money to the tune of about 150 million on a sequel with Nick Cage as Jonny Blaze that just takes on a reverse direction as if the second movie never happened and Blaze is riding around the U.S. saving people from evil forces and wherever Mephisto would rear his evil head and scheme for more souls and innocents. Sort of like they did with HULK 2- best Hulk movie ever! If they do this with Ghost Rider 3 or some kind of sequel and the same folks that did the first one with most or all of the same actors (that survived)and yes Peter Fonda as the devil because he was great in it I thought then I can pretty much guarantee the next one will be a success. But if they go ahead and do a Dan Ketch Ghost Rider movie instead I think the top 3 picks from your list to get it done from the best to last would be 1.)Paul Walker 2.)Ryan Goseling 3.)Josh Duhamel. I would probably have Chris Pine in there too but he is going to be too busy riding the galaxy as Cpt. James T. Kirk for awhile and that is about all I can see him as playing now for awhile. Have a nice day folks.

That is exactly right.that's why you have to sink in more than a measily 50 milion dollars on a movie like this that came off a 200 million dollar budget with a great script with good actors and a director that had a clue with of course Nick Cage who is great and I might add is a big fan of the comic and the character of Ghost Rider. It's a nobrainer that if more money is put into a sequel it will be a better movie. If they do another sequel I hope Nick Cage is still Johnny Blaze. Would be great also if Eva Mendez were to come back as well.

All I could think of while watching the new Ghost Rider was Jensen Ackles. Johnny Blaze in this film reminded me a lot of Dean Winchester.

Ron Perlman should have been cast in this role. (I don't care that he played hellboy, so what?)
Cage may have the acting chops, but he is not imposing physically and I seem to remember Ghost Rider as being not quite so skinny.
I personally don't think the movies are quite as bad as everyone else seems to think. I haven't seen or read a Ghost Rider comic since I was 8 or 9, but there have been FAR, FAR worse movies than this about comic book characters. -

Ryan Kwanten is a real good choice. I agree that it should not be a huge star (sorry OP, Tom Hardy is a new it guy in Hollywood). Kwanten could do a good southern accent that Blaze, and even Danny Ketch should have. Nic Cage was such a horrible choice for the role; GR is a young man and looks
nothing
like Cage.
When youre in a bad mood, just think about a monkey.
