I Don't understand why when Banner hulks out, his beard magically vanishes? is the Hulk some magical creature or was it a error?

Maybe the Hulk is so huge that Banner's whiskers retracted.

The 2nd post in the "The goof section has a goof of its own." thread contains a pretty good explanation for the Hulk not having the beard David Banner had grown. In a nutshell, he lost it because it belonged to the Banner persona of his body.

In the comics when Banner shaved his head, Hulk's head was shaved too.

Actually that is one of the reasons fans of the Hulk television series (which I was) disliked the movies. In the series, if Banner had a beard, the Hulk would have as well.
