I liked this movie and The Rise of the Silver Surfer.
I also liked the cast. I thought they were ok. I have read
the FF4 since they came out in 1961. (That should tell
you how long Ive been around.) I wished they had made
a third one. I am NOT in favor of a re-boot. Hollywood
    remakes to many movies.

Yes I won't be interested in seeing this rebooted either, nor any more reboots/remakes of any comic characters after this unless they get RAVE reviews. Like
        X-Men 2
level reviews, all the reboots of late have been absolutely terrible (
        Man of Steel
had what was likely the worst cinematography I have ever seen in a big budget production and atrocious writing with not one line of memorable dialogue, it was a horrible movie).
As for this incarnation yes it was alright. It had to compete against X-Men and Spider-Man which were handled better but the casting was pretty good and the story was okay. I think the real old school fans like yourself probably would have rather seen Doctor Doom handled differently? I think the actor did a good job with what he was given.
A third movie might have been really good. The cast would have had a more cohesive dynamic by then and they may have poured on some good stuff IF they got a good script.
Oh by the way pay no attention to jimmymacknj, it was raised by orangutans.

The characters were well written and The Thing has always been my favorite one but the movie mmmm is simply mediocre, same as the sequel which I like better.
