Know where M's headquarters were? I'm thinking maybe he took a peak with Mr. Q ("I want you dressed at all times!" scene) but I'm not sure. Plot hole? Or am I missing something?
And how on earth did he get there? Walk?

After Dorian Gray leaves the League and the nautilus survives the bombing, they get a telegraph message from Skinner who is hiding on the exploration pod Gray stole. Skinner then continues to feed them headings to lead them to M's base.
