Okay, so Superman didn't die in this but being trapped on the sun for eternity sort of counts as a death in a lot of ways.
But what was more emotional of a "Death"?
All Star or Doomsday?
IMO, All Star hands down. Doomsday just butchered the Death of Superman story. -

I found ALL-STAR SUPERMAN the more emotional of the two. I think any story where a beloved character is coming to terms with their mortality is going to be replete with emotional peaks and valleys. I've watched the film on three separate occasions and I must admit it gets better every time.
Incidentally, OP, I don't think SUPERMAN:DOOMSDAY "butchered" the source material. Bruce Timm made it quite clear the film was more "inspired" by the "Death/Reign/Return" storylines and as a stand-alone film I believe it succeeds quite admirably. The comic storyline spanned quite a few issues, if you recall. To try and condense such a sprawling narrative into a 76-minute animated feature would, at the very least, be a very clumsy and unsatisfactory adaptation. I really don't get the bad reputation that particular film has garnered.
This mellow thighed chick just put my spine out of place!
