What were you thinking? C'mon, that Southern accent isn't hard. Your accent sucked man. The Oz dialect slipped out so many times it was embarassing. And with Bruce Shapiro on board, you should have been much better.
    Shame, shame, shame.

I couldn't agree more strongly, homes. Plus, didn't they keep calling him a "yankee"? So I think that means that everyone else should sound southern (or Cajun, even), and he shouldn't.
The girl's accent was the worst, though. Are these folks all local Aussies that they just recruited on site? I suspected as much.

No one in this film had a believable accent. Actually that was the first thing that told me the film didnt have any American actors in it.
But I had fun with the movie. It isnt supposed to be real, just fun. Im glad they didnt go crazy with the gore too. Its more fun for me to use my own imagination.
And yes, the girls accent was the worst. There is no way she came even close to being from the country much less swamp country. Sorry.

It's quite funny really. A movie about a town in America where every actor/actress is an Aussie not really even bothering to put on a good accent.

Rachel Taylor sounded exactly like she did in Transformers. It didn't even sound like she was trying. BTW, the Sheriff was supposed to be a Yankee. He did alright.

Is it just me, or was he trying a little too hard to look and sound like Nathan Fillion? Granted, it wasn't as obvious as the Richard Dreyfuss impersonator, but it was distracting.
On a side note, the villian turned inexplicably Russian when he suggested "Let heem deeg." And then they laughed maniacally.
