This movie is not in contiuity with bruce Timm's animated universe. This just has the designs based on the characters.check out the interview with Duane capizzi here.http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/backstage/interviews/capizzi.php
Duane states that this has nothing to do with the DC comcis animated series we fell in love with.

And for a different demographic. Though I wish they had gone with a different design, but then again, it would out of place with The Batman and Legion of Superheroes.

"And for a different demographic".Exactly.This movie is for kids from 7-12.The shows are either 7+ (PG) or `13+ (whenever they push limits too high).

they should have used different designs, crappier ones to fit the crappy stories and characterizations just like they did with the batman, instead of insulting the memory of the classics

Yeah, it makes no sense. Then use different designs and all different voices. You can't have it both ways

It uses the same designs and same voices from the animated series so I think it is connected. Capizzi just punked out and said it's in a different continuity just to avoid negative backlash from DCAU fans. If you show this to anyone who has seen Superman:TAS they'd say it's connected. So if you dissinclude this from continuity you should do the same for "Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman".

There is no way that anybody who's seen Superman:TAS would include this film in the continuity.

I've seen Superman TAS and would include this in the continuity.

C, the personalities are completely different, to the point of extreme annoyance to anyone who is a fan.
This is a movie for kids. Dumb kids.
