ive never read any of the comics but am looking forward to the show. i wonder if the animation will be the same or slightly changed?

Yeah I am looking forward to the series too because I grew up reading the old Jungle Action comic books featuring BP.
As for the animation, don't hold your breath hoping that the look and flow will be changed very much. I read somewhere that the producers were working with a pretty tight budget
