    That one is very good.
I haven't seen for a while and it was still made in an era when films were original and had decent acting and a sense of awe behind the conception. Imagination was unfettered by mundane and repetitive visual tropes like today.

The Best that I have ever seen is the 1982 Movie "
      John Carpenter's THE THING
" which was (sort of) a Remake of "
      THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD
" but also really more true to the Original Novella "
      WHO GOES THERE ?
      ".

I have never seen The Thing.
Quite ironic as it is playing at the Music Box theater in Chicago tonight and my bus heads out in one hour.
I don't really care. I'm sure it's a good movie, but I've never been all that interested in it. I saw the dog scene and that turned me off.
I do like the 1951 version.

Pity you didn't still have the open opportunity to contemplate it Mr. H.
Would have been a fun experience to see it as it was meant to be seen.

If you do have the chance to watch "
            John Carpenter's THE THING
" at some point in the future, you definitely should check it out.
            It is a Classic!

Yeah, I did not like the Remake either.

That's not even funny Warren, just makes you look snide, nasty and reptilian.

He's very rarely funny. The cringe factor is high on that one.

He tries real hard, but just can't seem to stop floundering in an inflexible and wrongheaded mindset at times.

Yeah, I blocked him because he was compelled to follow around for the main purpose of beimg unpleasant.
Plus, he never seemed all that bright to start with and what the heck am I supposed to do with dull, boring and unpleasant?

Nothing, that is the straighty in a nutshell.
He's just a nasty one where you have been concerned.
You know what they say about the ruffs? Some ruffs are actually queer!!!
                          Watched
                          The Naked Civil Servant
the other day. Haven't seen for a while. Most enjoyable film, even if tinged with sadness.

                            Quentin Crisp was a hero.
John Hurt was the best choice for that role.

John Goff and George "Buck" Flower play two of the three fisherman who are the first victims in the movie. These two guys can be seen in a bunch of 70's drive-in flicks and even collaborated on the script for the low-rent grindhouse slasher opus "Drive-In Massacre." Moreover, that's "Assault on Precinct 13" star Darwin Joston as a coroner named Dr. Phibes.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
