so I just saw france 24 hour news and she is against mixed race marriages and has been fined five times for "inciting racial hatred?" I guess that makes her a hypocrite because she had liasons with guys who weren't white. either that or her brain is turning into smush and has let the senility take over. tsk tsk.

And yes, France is full of covert racists (you just proved it unwittingly), but this discussion doesn't belong here and I certainly won't have it with you.
Why is it that everytime someone objects to excessive immigration or muslims, it's automatically seen as racist?? Do people really think it's the phenotype of Arabs that French object to, or is it their culture and behaviour?? Seriously. And many Arabs don't look that different from the French especially in The south. France isn't freakin Sweden you know! Here is a French actress from the south of France.

      Big racial difference!
It's funny how people never expect cultural differences to be a cause of conflict. They always assume that is because skin color.

Arab culture and its treatment of women. Arab culture and its inability to adapt to Western standards. Arab culture and its backwardness. All of these things are true, but to most racists (in France, now that we're focusing on this particular country) they're nothing but excuses since otherwise all they'd be left with is their dislike for swarthy skin, and that's not fashionable anymore.
The French actress in your picture won't get star billing in France unless she's meant to play an unequivocally immigrant woman in an unequivocally immigrant-related film. Yes she is French but she won't be seen as such by many people, including many who will say otherwise if asked publicly.

I have been to France 238and I think Lonnigan is right. France is not exatcly a Nordic country. Some of the French are naturally swarthy themselves. Most of the time what people percieve as racism is about a clash of culture and values.
I think your views of France are wrong.
Here is the up and coming French actress set to star in the next Bond film.

Arab culture and its treatment of women. Arab culture and its inability to adapt to Western standards. Arab culture and its backwardness.
How ironic. Your statement, itself, is one of the most backwards comments I have read on IMDB.
First of all, why should the "Arab culture" adapt to Western Standards? If Arab countries are "unable to adapt," it's because they're not even located in the West, so why should they change their way of living to cultures located on the other side of the hemisphere?
Does Feminism have a long way to go in some countries? Yes, they do. But, Western countries don't own or patent the ideas of respecting women. While some Western countries are more liberal, in some sense, as to how women are treated, they, themselves, still have a ways to go in the treatment of their own women.

                poem — 14 years ago(September 07, 2011 07:52 AM)

In biology, there is no such thing as human races.
That means that people from different subjective human races, such as a black and an asian person, might have more similarities with each other than people of the same "kind".
For, to the biologist, an outer sign such as black skin doesnt have more weight than other traits. Thus, in biology, there is no such thing as human races.
Therefore the political definition of racism cannot be based on these nonexistent human races. Racism is therefore defined as being biased against ANY group of human beings, no matter the criteria you choose. That means people who hate women are racists, just as people who hate gay people are racist, or people who hate people with disabilities.
So if you are a nazi and hate jews, you are a racist. Not because there would be anything like a jewish race. But because you hate all people of jewish religion.
Always listen to your own advice.
