Well shoot. I don't recall this, but given that cast, I am most definitely going to have to try and find it now! Thank you for mentioning this!

I got some of the title wrong on that movie.
Young Man With a Horn, 1950. I have only seen it a couple of times when we had Turner Classic movies.
      Here is the theatrical trailer…

I remember this one! Considering I've seen most of them since the beginning. I watched the ones with Hal Block the first time around, but when it got to watching them all for a second time (since there are so many), I'll admit heavy heartedly, that I skipped the ones with Hal Block as I started watching again,… I cringed every time I watched that man on screen!

He lived all of his one hundred and three years to the fullest, and left behind a lifetime of cinematic classics for us to enjoy in his absence.
                    May he rest in peace.

He certainly did. He will always live on through his films. That is quite a legacy.

It's astonishing to make it to 103, but in those years, he left behind such incredible legacies. Bold, charismatic and such a joy to watch.

Farewell, Kirk Douglas. A long life well lived.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
