Not even the indie films he did have great reviews. Even the very good ones (The Ghost Writer and The Matador) did not get much notice though he had a Golden Globe nomination for the latter. Whoever his agent or his PR people are doing, they've doing lousy job of handling his career. I don't know about you, but he's slowly becoming a washed up actor.

I agree his agent has to be fired as soon as Possible, The november man could have done to him what Taken did with Liam Neeson but his agents were not smart enough to make it a big release in theaters.
Taken is a great action Flick and it was my favorite in recent years till I watched the novemeber man which is really good and Pierece deserved that boost Liam got with Taken.
In general it gets me mad how some very smaller budget films are are treated so badly, im not talking about oscar Indies im talking about great action/ thrillers get very little exposure like:
The Frozen Grownd: i just cant stand Nicholas Cage, well im not a fan of any single of the actors but the story was fantastic. the story bets you from the beginning and ost very well told with the perfect peace.
This witn Hugh Jackman would have been even bigger than Prisoners since its based in a true story and that guy is finally in prison like he should be.
Chloe: ok this is in the same style of This year's the boy next door much better in every single way.
Better actors, story, ending and its like Adrian Lyne camd back to make this. This really is in the same great quality of Fatal Attraction 9 1/2 weeks and indecent proposal and yet no single person cared about.
Butterfly on a Wheel
Ok another hugley underrated thriller with Pierce Brosnan with the best Twist i ever watched. The twist is an OMG moment with capital letters, well there are two twists and both are something you cant belive you just watched
The Next Three days
The most edge of your seat action thriller i ever seen, no single boring moment -

If he could get into something like The Hunger Games so he could get better reviews and people remember his name.
I have the worst luck with the actors i choose as favorites both my favorite actor Pierce Brosnan and Catherine Zeta Jones are close to be has beens.
Is Martin Campbell a career murderer ? , he first made them huge stars ( Catherine in the Mask of Zorro and Pierce with Goldeneye) and years latter they struggle to keep going strong.
No really, i wonder how they lost their appeall at the box office and why?
With Pierce i think its because he worked Roman Polanski in the ghost writer and butterfly on a wheel was a film produced by Mel Gibson's company Icon.
But for both was before their scandal wasn't it. ?
With Catherine well the poor woman aged which seems to be a crime in the movie industry, i think both have the chance to make a comeback non of them has made a mistake to be banned forever so its about taking the Opportunity again. -

His agents have nothing to do with how many theaters The November Man opened at - that's down to the distributors and the theatre chains. The film was badly reviewed, most chains didn't want to show it (only a couple of screens in the UK were willing to show it at all) and it didn't do well at those that did take it.
Like most Bond actors the public only wanted to see them as 007, and his poor choices of recent projects haven't done anything to change that.

The November man was a very fun action thriller maybe a little predictable but the it delivered in the action and getting me interested the whole time
Maybe the agents don't decide the number if theaters but they could have helped to push it, Taken with Liam Neeson seemed like it was gonna have the straight to dvd treatment and the love the public gave to it changed everything.
What i think is that this film deserved a much better treatment since it had potential to be as popular as Taken but seems like Hollywood only bets for the safe films.
It frustrates me how many great movies get the cold treatment from Hollywood and the Studios or how some actors like Pierce are treated like they are not worthy of the box office.
I guess im just very pissed how my favorite actor and actresss Pierce Brosnan and Catherine Zeta Jones had leasser careers than they deserved.
Pierce is st least working but he deserves to be as popular as George Clooney and Brad Pitt and Catherine as Angelina Jolie or Sandra Bullock. -

Even though No Escape got bad reviews and had Pierce as a supporting player, at least it is praised by the general audience, thus explaining the 7.0 here on IMDb. November Man, while enjoyable, could have done better with the wider audience.

Well this one is not in my theaters yet, but this weekend i went to see How to make love like an Englishman and i loved it.
The film sadly has horrible ratings on Rotten Tomatoes but critics here in Mexico have treated the movie much better -

Whoever his agent and/or his PR is, they're making Pierce look like Steven Seagal as though that he can't act, thus explaining most of his films (especially after Bond) getting bad reviews, but at least (again) the general audience love No Escape despite getting smacked by critics.

OP is right; something doesn't add up. Mamma Mia! came out in the same year as Quantum of Solace and was a comparable-sized hit. At that stage, with Craig two films into his Bond tenure, it seemed Brosnan was doing as well without Bond as Bond himself was doing.
If his career has slowed in recent years, the decline would need to b238e mapped from 2008, rather than 2002.
I hope the rumours of an appearance in Expendables 4 are confirmed. The last movie wasn't massive but the series has the potential to get back on track and he'd be perfect for it.
