He got a 7-minute standing ovation when Jeanne du Barry was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The entire film is in French. Depp is a Francophile, given he has/had a home there with Vanessa and his two children, so he speaks French, but he had to learn a different dialect to speak for the length of the movie, as well as having the ability to improvise when/if necessary. I can't wait until the movie is available here in the States.

Is it because he was fairly attractive as a person who partly grew up in Florida, around Miami, “at that?”
