She really isn't that good of an actress

It's just that she was really good in like 3 films. She just happened to have been nominated for 2 of those and won. And those two movies that were nominated just happened to be one of the best made in the years they were released.
So basically more luck than actual star talent. But she's still working so that's always a great thing at her age.
