No sympathy at all for her

It's a huge relief that no one else was hurt as this could have been catastrophic for a family living at the property.
To act so recklessly I can understand why there would be anger toward Ms Heche.
I still can't say I'm "glad" she's dead or wish her to "burn in hell" because two boys have lost their mother here and Ms Heche has paid an enormous price for a terrible decision she made that day.
For me, the whole event is sad from every perspective.

Very nicely put
She obviously was very troubled and perhaps suicidal. I have compassion for someone like that and I hope she's no longer suffering

Very sad situation when it comes to everyone involved.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

I feel for her children the most. They had a terrible decision to make. Since Tha oldest is the only one over 18 he had to do it.
I am curious how much help was offered prior to the accident. She had issues
That were well known it seems. -

I can't say that I condone driving after drinking. None of us knows what was going on.
I do feel bad for everyone involved… EVERYONE!

I would likely feel
very different
if she killed someone, but she didn't. I don't think anyone was even injured.
I'm usually pretty harsh on criminals, but we know her history. I forget the exact details, but wasn't she found wandering in the wilderness rambling about God or aliens or something?
Then there's been a few recent interviews or podcast where apparently she just drinks all the time. Mental illness and addiction… She was not a healthy person. She lived a sad life. -

prior to this irresponsible driving incident, i had no idea who she was. as said below, she could have injured or killed others. only justice left is for that homeowner to sue heche's insurance company for damages

She plowed right through the house. There was a tenant, her two dogs and a turtle in the house. Thank God they weren't killed or injured, but she lost most of her treasured belongings. But the important thing is that they'll be okay.
Also, there is no hell. I'm sure she knows exactly what she did now where she is though. -

Yes, choosing to suicide like that and possibly harming others is inexcusable
I do have a lot of empathy for the lady whose home was damaged
If you want to die that way you could just drive into a wall instead of someone's home

I suppose when in the throes of absolute depression, no common sense is afforded either. Like Cheeky said, why not drive into something that wouldn't put others at such a huge risk.
She wasn't living on this planet.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
