That is tragic. I couldn't begin to imagine what a most heart-rendering and difficult decision that must be to make and endure.

It was but I did not want her son to be alone. SO we stayed with him and her until the end. He was barely 18 and the sole person to make the decision. He was crushed.

Yup, sadly that is a part of the process. It is so hard when your loved one is declared dead and watching them still breathing etc. I hope she rests peacefully when she is fully gone.
