During the 90s, Anne Heche was an up-and-coming actress. Many believed that the A-list was in her future. Then she started a high-profile relationship with Ellen DeGeneres and I think its fair to say that all hell broke loose. The couple became the face of same sex relationships at a time when the nation did not approve of same sex relationships. They were all over the media. Some accused them of shoving their lifestyle down Americas collective throat. The relationship and the media whirlwind that surrounded it eclipsed both of their careers. I know its hard to believe it now when DeGeneres is a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, but the backlash nearly took down her career. It certainly limited Heches prospects.
So, what the hell happened? -

Bad luck, bad press, bad choices, perhaps all three, perhaps something else, who knows personally I always felt Heche was a weak actress, and her voice acting in things like Superman: Doomsday (worst Lois Lane voice ever) and Legend of Korra leaves much to be desired.

what do you want to happen ? She's 45 but can pass for 30 , she seems to have a happy personal life and has worked consistently. If the projects haven't been successful I don't see where she is to blame.

If her Trivia page is to be believed, some psychological issues may be involved.
She reminds one of Barbara Hershey or even more, like Daryl Hannah.
All 3 actresses are beautiful & have acting talent, but they also seem to have mental issues.
This may be why they did not achieve quite all the fame they should have yet.
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
