From all the performances I've seen of TLJ, I get rather nervous watching as I find his characters very unpredictable. They are cold, stoic, yet all the time thinking & deciding. It seems his characters have a preference for receiving information rather than delivering.
I get the feeling like he always holds back like 70% of himself.
That said, I've only seen the following films: Men In Black, US Marshalls, The Fugitive, No Country For Old Men, and Double Jeopardy.
If there have been any performances where he deviates from this pattern, I would be happy to see them.
