I was really impressed with his acting in The Doors hands down. I would have to say that my second favorite would be in

He was fantastic 2000as Jim Morrison, but the role I really enjoyed was his take on Doc Holiday in Tombstone. Intentionally over-the-top a bit, but not in a "hammy" kind of way.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, consider this: Batman creator Bob Kane said in a Cinescape interview that of all the actors to have played Batman up to that point (Before the series was rebooted in 2005), he felt Kilmer had given the best interpretation.
