question about him not directing batman

Because he doesnt think he can make a quality movie if he is doing BOTH directing and acting. It makes sense, if he was still in the directors chair he would be get exhausted and it would affect the quality of the movie and he wants it to be a great batman movie. Also they havent announced who will take his place yet.

It makes perfect sense. If he'd done it, it would've been a first for someone to take on so many roles in a tentpole movie. I can't imagine the pressure piled on. On top of everything, he has personal/ family problems to work through. So I think he should first and foremost take care of himself, only then can anyone produce good work. I honestly think the tight schedules of these superhero films are very counterproductive.. I hope things will work out so we'll get a great movie whenever it comes!

I think tentpole superhero films today carry a pretty different financial stake. Thousands of people are involved, the production and marketing budgets are off the roof. What's more internet critics have become I think incredibly hostile. I just try to put myself in the shoes of someone taking on that, try to imagine, and i for one, i wouldn't do it for the world.
