In Looking for Mr Goodbar from 1977 he plays the f'ed up gay guy
whom Diane Keaton picks up in a bar and when he cant perform she asks him to leave and he freaks out and starts attacking her, rips off her bra and attempts to strangle her with it and then starts stabbing her repeatedly while anally raping her, the last scenes are so disturbing with the strobe lights illuminating her face as she takes her last dying breath . scary stuff
"So, a thought crossed your mind? Must have been a long and lonely journey"

The character, of course, was creepy, but Tom and his bod were de-freaking-licious!

There never was and never will be a more stunningly gorgeous, seductive man than Tom Berenger in "Looking for Mr. Goodbar". When he's on the dance floor, wearing blue jeans and doing poppers under the disco ball, he is to die for.

          "to die for".
          Apt choice of words.

            Unfortunately, you're right.
