What possible difference can someone's political views have? Carroll O'Connor was nothing like Archie Bunker and he played that role. Reservoirdog must subscribe to the theory that all conservatives must be stupid and only liberals can be intelligent.

Fake Liberals(99 % of politicians) are intelligent in making true Liberals think that they are really in it for the people. I cannto believe that more people do not see this. Maybe True Liberals want to kid themselves on this, though.

According to a SC campaign contribution report (2001) - Berenger supported Max Cleland for state senator.
Cleland is a Vietnam war hero and a Democrat.

terrible2, I think you have a Phd in Tom Berenger. How did you find that article? It told me page not found. I can go to the website but couldn't find the article. It did list Tom under contributions. Seriously how do you find your info other that google? Thanks for answering that. I had seen in a previous bio that he was listed as a democrat but you never know if all the info is correct. I watched Betrayed again last night and he was so good in that.

I actually found that article quite by accident a few years ago. I was "Googling" Berenger to look for some film (don't remember which) and that site popped up.
From what I can gather, Berenger is a deep thinker and certainly has a deep respect for our men and women of the armed forces. Cleland lost his legs (and I believe an arm) in Vietnam.
Regardless of what party you believe in, a person that gives that last full measure of devotion deserves my (and Berenger's) vote.
A Berenger Phd huh?

I just got that to open and I put Berenger's name with Max and read lots of stuff. Max did loose both legs and one arm, you are correct.
Just another reason to love and respect Tom, he does show a deep respect for our armed forces.
I also read the posts on democraticunderground.com and their is a list of actors that are republicans and Tom is on that list, go figure. My Dad was a republican but supported one democrat in his life bec of a friendship with the man's Father, so one can go back and forth. I love him either way!

I see that Tom Berenger name listed on various websites as one of the few conservative actors in Hollywood. I think that is great but I am not sure that Berenger is really a conservative. I doubt that he is conservative because there is no evidence to support that he is a rock-ribbed Republican. He has not donated to the Republican Party or backed a Republican candidate. He may play conservatives in film and televison but that is just acting. However there is evidence that may indicate that he is a liberal there he has donated multiple times to senator Max Cleland of Georgia. Well Max Cleland is a very liberal politician.

I am certain that Tom Berenger knows where Max Cleland stands on the key issues so that means Tom Berenger must be pro-choice, pro-gay rights and does not believe American flag is not sacred. If he is not all these things he is still guilty of innocent blood being shed for no good reason and I am refering to aboration.
More evidence that suggests Tom Berenger is a liberal is one of his most famous movie role "Platoon" was Anti War picture that depicts Vietname soldiers in the most negative light. A product of leftest Hollywood directed by Oliver Stone one of Hollywood's most controverial and one of the biggest liberals in the Hollywood industry and the fact that Tom is friends with Oliver Stone that alone says a mouth full.
If you don't agree with anything I have said then please correct me and prove me wrong. If you have evidence to the contrary that Tom Berenger is not a liberal I would like to get a response from you. -

Years ago, he came to Easton, PA to visit the oldest building, one that was being preserved. The article told about how Tom was a student of history (his college major.) There was a photo of him wearing a leather jacket. He looked great!
