if she's polynisian/hawaiian, why is she white? her parents couldn't be white because their last name was palzis. is her mom white or something? anyone know?

Kelly's birth name was Kelly Smith. Smith is an English name. Kelly's birth father died when she was an infant. Her mother remarried and her step father (Peter Palzis) adopter her.

How can any of this thread be considered "Racist". People are entirely too uptight when it is deemed "Racist" to discuss someone's heritage. Furthermore, Hawaii is a state in America, it's not a country unto itself so you dont have to be Polynesian to be considered Hawaiian, no more than you have to be Inuit or Yupik to be considered Alaskan.

How ignorant! While Hawaii is a state in America, there are also indigenous people who are Hawaiian. Being Hawaiian and being from Hawaii are two different things. YES, you DO have to be HAWAIIAN to be considered Hawaiian, dumb dumb. Try educating yourself so you can become more intelligent. And for the record, Kelly Preston is NOT Hawaiian. At ALL.
